Maskery, a user-interaction engineering firm is conducting research on behalf of the Federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans in relation to their Oceans and Fish Habitat web site. The Department of Fisheries and Oceans wants to ensure that their new website meets the needs of people who would use it and continues to fulfill their mandate. We are therefore conducting tests to better understand how people would use the content on this new site. We are contacting you because you indicated you would be willing to participate in further research for DFO.
The excel spreadsheet should only take a maximum of 15 minutes of your time to complete. The purpose of this exercise is to ensure that the content in the categories on the website is organized according to the way users think. Therefore your input is important in helping us to improve the services that the DFO offers.
The excel file will have a list of 50 items that may appear on the Oceans and Fish Habitat website. We would like you to assign a category to each of those items by putting a “1” in the column of the category where you would expect to find the item. The following picture demonstrates this. Upon completion, simply save the file and e-mail it back to me.
