Do you need a boat operator card for a pontoon?

And if you put( or should I say ) When you put, an electric trolling motor on a pontoon,Do you need an operators card? Or is there any registration required?

Yup, if there is any sort of propelling device or motor, electric or otherwise you need your operators card... if you dont have any motor besides you and you're paddles you're in the clear and have no necessity for the licence
