thanks guys i really appreciate the advise. the whalers out it looks like a double eagle . there seems to be a lot of 16 footers out their but if anyone has fished in various years/ hp/ lengths i would appreciate any feedback really dont want to go thu the whole buying,selling,rigging thing again but id like to expand from fishing burrard inlet to winter fishing around bowen ,the mouth of the fraser and howe sound will the 16 do it or should i go bigger thanks bigjoe

Bigger is better if the mouth etc. are in your plans. The 16 footer is great in fair weather but is a litle small if it kicks up. I have had a 16, 18, 21 and now a 25 and wish I had just got the bigger boat first. Just my opinion but as Sr SQ said buy bigger now. Good luck in your boat hunting.

You definitely want bigger. 18ft. is better and 22 is better still. And the same thing applies to horsepower. Being underpowered is bad, especially with a load or in rough conditions.
