BC is the only jurisdiction I am aware of, that bans the use of dropper flies. Why is this? Is there any support for changing this regulation? I have fished the Bow with a dry fly as an indicator and a nymph ona dropper. Great action. I can't see why it couldn't be allowed here, at least on C&R systems.

I have nothing intelligent to add, but I know when I fish other areas that allow droppers I still do not bother. It is just such an alien concept to me as a life long BC boy. I may try the 2 fly method on the Yak this weekend if I can bring myself to it!

The only thing I can really think of as a reason is the government's love of blanket rules. If the fly guys are going to be allowed to effectively fish two hooks on the line, the government probably feels it's going to make it more difficult to enforce the one hook per line rule to other methods.
