I saw in the local rag that some bonehead emptied his swimming pool into a North Burnaby storm drain. The chlorine in the pool water killed about 250 cutthroat trout and salmon. There is a picture on the cover of a handful of dead, 8" trout . For those that do not know where Eagle creek is, it starts on Burnaby mountain, flows through Burnaby Mountain golf course and into Burnaby lake. The stream boasts a small group of dedicated guardians whose work has now received a serious set-back.

From what I can gather, the spill was very localized, affecting only a 150 m or so of the stream. You would think they should have no trouble finding the guilty party.
