boatman....

I am not too sure about Winter fishing on that side and never hear too much in the way of reports.

Keep an eye on this website http://www.silverbluecharters.com/latest.php

In not too terribly long you may want to start heading up a bit further north to the Thasher rock area and try your luck up there.

I don't know that I would be doing too much winter fishing inside the Gulf Island but more on the perimeter to the south, and east........but again I have never done any winter fishing in the islands.

You may want to try on this other forum as there are a few more "islanders" lurking around that may be able to help you out.

Good luck and make sure you let us know how you are making out.

Boatman: I not much of a salmon fisherman but I have read that chinook winter feeders like to feed off the south end of reefs, islands where the feed gathers together.
and they are usually found deep.....50 - 70 metres.
Looks like you found some off Galiano...javascript:void(0);
