Took a drive there today, edges are gone, water on the ice.....could be gone quickly IF we actually got some warm weather. Wonder if lakes like Roche will be good to go come May 1st??? Any predictions?? I am sure there will be guys chipping the ice away to get out there!!

I doubt Roche will be ready. Just look at the web cam at Lac le Juene. Completely covered with snow and ice.

maybe if we all get out there with hair dryers and heat guns we can make it happen..... I guess with the late ice free season this means that fishing will be good into late July!!!!

I was told Edith had a big kill off last year, thousands of fish died. They do have plans to stock it again, but not with anything of size. Fishing there this year is probably going to be quite slow. But the ones that are still left....are gonna be lunkers come next year.

I heard the exact opposite....apparently only a couple of hundred died due to algae bloom which apparently happens every year. Ice fisherman were apparently catching them all winter.....
