Aside from a whip finish (with a whip finish tool), I like to dab a tiny drop of Zap-A-Gap on the knot as long as it doesn't affect its presentation. Sometimes, it's not recommended as it might ruin the look or presentation. Super glue or like is not recommended as it eventually come off in the water.

Get yourself a fly tying book or at least search for information on the internet. :peace:
Tip: First wrap some thread on a bare hook then keep practicing a whip finish on it instead of tying a whole fly and then finding out you tied it wrong in the end.

This is a great Book, don't let the cost deter you.
This is a life long book to use. This will improve your fly tying skills to a very high level
