well today i hit the flow with my buddy (wookie) to get some shiny fish  water was still super low but vis was great with a touch of colour. just how i like it
started our day at Allison but with the water so low there really isnt the nicest water in there right now so we left pretty quick and decided to drive upriver further but after going all the way to the top we didnt feel like fishing these crowded areas. took off back down and hit another busy but productive peice of water. we got there and heard of 2 already hooked and decided "what the hell" so we start fishing, me fishing my usual wool tie and him fishing shrimp. nothing in the first nice run for us or the other 2 guys so we jump out and set off down to the next run in the set. Now there had just been 4guys fishing this run and one was left fishing the tailout area still. we start at the top (like you should) and as we are working this peice i look down always watching other anglers, I look down again a few mins later and cant quite tell but im sure he is fighting a fish so i keep watching and yes, he has a fish on. I decide to go give him a hand because iu was thinking of moving down the run anyway. I get close to him and yell to "need a hand" he says back "sure its a wild one" i get a few steps closer and he says " HOOK?" and im like " ha ha Yup" turns out i just met STS and helped him tail his nice wild buck which was around 10-12ish. So like we all do i stand there chatting for a bit, then decide we better get back to it or we arent going to catch anything thats for sure. I move back up a bit as he wasnt done hitting the tailout. Now i continued to fish my wool tie all through the grid NOTHING. So this isnt me very often but i had tied up some pink worms incase the clarity wasnt great, so i tie one on. I take a couple casts re-learning how to fish these (been a few years) and then my second or third nice drift BANG fish on. after a huge 15minute battle i landed this nice hatchery doe. So this marks the first fish on something OTHER than that certain wool colour i use.
tight lines out there
HOOK
P.S. fish weighed in at 13lb 2oz
