I am going to the in laws on Pender Island in a couple of weeks. Does anybody want to share some good fishing spots? I will have a downrigger. This is my first time in the saltwater, so any tips on a setup would be great too.

The Pender bluffs would probably be the my first choice. The Pender bluffsare on the west side of North Pender Island. Another area I've had good luck is around Enterprise reef. That is the marked reef near the Mayne Island ferry terminal. Troll the deep side of the reef, the side further away from Mayne Island. A close pass may get you a nice fish, but your flirting with disaster if you get too close. I've lost a ball or two fishing there, but it's a great spot to try. Trolling across the mouth of Navy Channel may also produce, but the current can be too fast for trolling at times.
