Has anyone had any success catching any fish from this location? This pier seems kind of quiet. I think it is better to drive east of this location to the other pier. Also, I have had some success pier fishing in west van ambleside. Does anyone know of any other locations? Thanks. Mariner.

There are several good places to fish in the Fraser. #2 rd. pier is not a great place to fish, however when the pinks enter the river on the first high tide in August there are always a few to catch there.
Better locations are the "dump bar" behind the Theatres at the end of Steveston Hwy East......you have to head along the bumpy **** road towards the warehouses and construction around #8 Rd. Go on a low tide and fish the incoming tide...No need to throw out too far.....Another spot is almost right accross the river and slightly upstream. Access off River Road. There is a fisherman's Park there just above the truck and Container terminal....One other spot is around the barges on Annacis Island on the South Arm just below the Alex Fraser bridge......You'll have to do some searching to find the road that goes in behind the warehouses....There is a small waterfront park here that can be ok ,too. ,.....Ortho 8)
