I was a wharf rat at the original painters lodge (pre mysterious fire) in the late 70's/very early 80's and I believe Andrew Rippingale worked there or at another local lodge. He is one of the few names I know that has been around this area for pretty much his whole life. As I recall, a very personable guy that knows his fishing stuff.
I looked up the web site below on google. You will have to do your own research, but I am sure if you make inquiries in the area, his name will be well known. http://www.rippingalesfishing.com
An old time resident (past life) recommending a resident who is still active an knowledgeable in the local game.
Best of luck.
