Missed the news working on the boat but the wife says the river has been closed?? thought I'd check here to see what's up anyone heard anything???

I heard they closed sockeye in washington.I didn't hear anything up here.

The salmon updates just state that it is closed for sockeye, no other notices regarding the closure of the river......however I have heard rumours floating around that they might close it down if the numbers don't show up soon.

Only thing I could find was that it is closed from Landstrom Bar to Croft Island. Otherwise it's still open as of right now. Normally the closures are posted really quickly to thier website.... http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/recfish/Freshwater/region2_e.htm

Hey Guys

With the Sockeye counts as low as they have been you can bet that if all the people who insist on Bottom bouncing keep it up then I think you will see them close the river completely to all salmon fishing. Just my :2cents:
