well seeing as how the usual suspects open up today I thought I would get out the fly rod and shake off some of the rust this past weekend. Headed out to one of the smallest lakes I have ever fished. I would say it was about 300m long and about 50 - 70 meters across. Anyhow wasn't expecting much just wanted to get out there but not only was the weather perfect and not a person in sight but I must have had rainbows on every other cast. I used a leach at the start off the day and then made myself a extremely small orange scud pattern as the lake was crawling with them and i couldn't keep the fish off my hook. Most of the fish were in the 13-14 inch range and lots of fun on a 3 or 4 W. Now to head up to the interior and get into some bigger fish. Great day on the puddle!!

hey Srethy

what little puddle is that ?? would be a good place for me to get the g/f into a float tube as the lake isnt too big and easier to kick around in :)

tight lines

I was up there with a good buddy who has recently become addicted to our wonderful sport. I guess not a person in sight was a false statement. I think there was one other guy I didn't know in a tube later in the day.

Yah sounds like a good idea. I have wanted to check out a few little lakes in the 100 mile area that i fished a few years ago with a lot of success. They should be good in June. I will let you know how the self taught spey fishing goes

Hey HOOK! I'd be willing to do a day trip up to Merritt/Kamloops in early June. Lemme know...as well, we should meet up at Tunkwa/Leighton at some point in Late June for a weekend as well. I wanted to fish with ya last year but things got a little busy here at work. Cheers man! -Nathan in NW
