Going fishing and need some help. I'm Vern, {calgary, 90 summers old, Len, my nephew 78 yrs {Maple Ridge } : were heading for Port Hardy around the first of August. Never been there, hear its good, but we could sure use some advice regarding fishing areas and methods. Len bought a 18' Gov't boat at an auction, got a 70 hp Johnson, downriggers, sonar unit, trolling motor, we should be OK. We are experienced on the water, been to Campbell River, Bamfield, Ucluelet and other points. Got lots of information regarding Port Hardy on the Internet and will get a copy of the Tide Tables along with a weeks weather report before I leave.So if you can help a couple of super seniors enjoy a fishing trip we would appreciate the help. Hey Vern............The area around Pt. Hardy is a good spot to visit in July/August. I know the area pretty well, so if you want to ask about some specifics, just pm me and fingers wont get sore by typing worthless info..............Cheers, Ortho 8)
