We are limiting out on 15-30 lb Springs offshore at will. Yesterday 5 charterboats with 3 clients per boat limited out in less than an hour on Springs in the afternoon. No BS. Here and Ucluelet have been smoking hot for 3 weeks now. Not many fish in close and the best areas for Chinooks go to under 77cm retention starting Aug 1st. :beerchug:

I have heard the same from a buddy of mine who guides over there. Considering what we saw in Kyuquot for numbers of fish it was killing me that I wasn't further south.
Got that right Pippen, One of the guys from our group is a Uclulet regular. When he found out the laPerouse Bank weather station was reporting 5 knot winds, he went near ballistic

We struggled in Kyuquot as well. Biggest was a 27 that I got on the last day, but it was hard fishing at the 12 mile reef and off twin rocks that got our fish. Spring Island was completely dead every time we tried there.

I started calling Kyuquot - "Kyu-NOT" :wallbash:

I was looking for your boat as I mentioned in my PM.

I think 27-28 was about the biggest that we got too, but we worked hard and long for our fish.

Now....first night just off the north side of spring island along the kelp beds....just along the right when you are running back in I came pretty close to getting spooled; fish bent the clip on the "bait" end of the flasher and took it at about 220 yards out. I was all hyped thinking.....this is gonna be awesome.

Tough fishing.......and those seas were not friendly. I think it was Sunday that was just plain and simple miserable out at 12 mile.

Did your Pursuit have the "Shimano" decal on the side? I saw I think 2 other Pursuits with "blueish" tops.

Hi Pippen, I think you got my boat confused. I have the 23 foot Seaswirl Striper with the hard top on it and the 200 Evinrude on the back. Boat handled the sloppy shit out at 12 mile very well. I am REALLY happy with its seaworthiness
