I have relatives that live Banff that I visit often, are there good places to fly fish there?
The Bow river riuns through the town of Banff and on to Calgary. Fishing in the Park requires a National Park license, outside the park an Alberta license is required. Give these guys a call or email and they can help you out. http://www.banff-fishing.com/

Rick-Banff is about an hours drive from Calgary, so make that about 8 or 9 hours from PG.

I had one of my best days ever fishing just outside of banff last weekend. Cutties, bulls and brookies.

There is decent fishing in banff but IMO you'd be better served to go for a drive to one of the foothills rivers. There are lots of options, highwood, livingstone, sheep, oldman etc. This time of year there is no better way to fish than on the dry. We were getting them on hoppers and on various mayfly patterns. We even managed to get into a few bulls on the dry.
