Being new to the area, can you recommend some areas for fishing the Fraser? I live in Port Coquitlam, so anything within a 1/2 hour drive would be great.

I have also read other posts, mentioning Island 22, Grassy bar etc... Where does one find a map of these areas?

Most if not all stores that supply fishing tackle have maps...but the more reputable tackle
shops have much more to offer.

Look for a couple of books: one's called Barfishing the Lower Fraser river put out by Hancock Publishing and the other one is Fishing Fever by Eileen Mcguire. They will give you a names, locations for most of the popular bars and some general info about amenities, and even when to fish.

There is a map of the lower fraser you can get at tackle shops. I got one at Army and Navy. It has most of the bars on it, as well as boat launches.

Try richmond, triangle beach to be exact. When the pinks run you can catch them easily. When the tide is low you can fill up your tackle box!haha :thumbup:
