Hi, i havent done much fly fishing in the cap river but i would like to start now. Where would the best place to go right now to catch some nice Cap Coho?

What # rod and line would i want, and what flies would i want to try?

Thanks

From what I hear there arent many fish in the river right now due to low summer conditions...perhaps your efforts are better spent at the mouth!
A 7 or 8 weight would be ample for the fish in that system...

you can, just not much room to fly cast...if you're good at roll casting and you are able to get down a little deeper, try first light on a weekday... any time other than that they are spooked due to the guys slamming gear at them all day.
try sparsely tied muddler and clouser minnows in various colors, or even mickey finns. take a look at flyfishbc.com for some good patterns.

Good luck and let us know how you make out!
