Fishery Notice - Fisheries and Oceans Canada

Subject: FN0619-Salmon: Aboriginal Economic Fishing Opportunity - Area 29 - Lower Fraser Area

Area 29: (Fraser River Mouth to the power lines immediately downstream of the
Port Mann Bridge) opens for Musqueam First Nation from 09:00 hours, Monday,
August 09, 2010 to 21:00 hours, Monday, August 09, 2010 and for Tsawwassen
First Nation 15:00 hours, Monday, August 09, 2010 to 21:00 hours, Monday,
August 09, 2010 for drift nets and set nets.

Only individuals designated by Musqueam First Nations or Tsawwassen First
Nations are authorized to participate in this fishery.

All aspects of the communal licence will be enforced.

Fish harvesters are advised to contact their local bands for a copy of the
conditions of their fishing licence.

The Musqueam and Tsawwassen First Nation fishery is targeting sockeye salmon.
Incidental catch of chinook salmon may be kept. All efforts and attempts shall
be made to return all non target species to the water alive. All viable
steelhead, wild coho salmon and sturgeon must not be retained.

It is mandatory that all salmon retained under the authority of this licence
must be transported to the nearest landing station and made available for
inspection.
