Subject: FN0693-SANITARY - Area 17 - Emergency Closure for Bivalve Shellfish near Hammond Bay Area, Nanaimo (Closure 17.ee) is now revoked

Sanitary closure 17.ee is now revoked, as prescribed by the Canadian Shellfish
Sanitation Program, at 21 days after the operations at the sewage treatment
plant returned to normal.

Emergency Closure Area 17.ee – West of Neck Point to Lagoon Head

Portions of Subareas 17-12, 17-18 and 17-21 within a radius of 1200m of a point
in water at 49°13.87' north latitude and 123°57.75' west longitude including
existing annual sanitary closure 17.15 in Hammond Bay and Pipers Lagoon,
extending northwesterly along the shore of Vancouver Island approximately 930 m
from Neck Point and approximately 127 m southeasterly along the shore from
Lagoon Head.
