ABORIGINAL - General Information

Fishery Notice - Fisheries and Oceans Canada

Subject: FN0701-ABORIGINAL - Salmon: Economic Fishing Opportunity - Area 29 - Lower Fraser Area Opening Extension

Further to FN 0682, from Fraser River Mouth to Port Mann Bridge area, the
fishery has been extended by 5 hours for drift nets and set nets and will now
close at 21:00 hours Friday, August 20, 2010.

Only individuals designated by Musqueam First Nations or Tsawwassen First
Nations are authorized to participate in this fishery. All aspects of the
communal licence will be enforced. Fisher harvesters are advised to contact
their local bands for a copy of the conditions of their fishing licence.

The Musqueam and Tsawwassen First Nation fishery is targeting sockeye salmon
and an incidental catch of chinook salmon may be kept. All efforts and
attempts shall be made to return all non target species to the water alive.
All viable steelhead, wild coho salmon and sturgeon must not be retained.

It is mandatory that all salmon retained under the authority of this licence
must be transported to the nearest landing station and made available for
inspection. Please contact your local band for the list of landing stations.
