Subject: FN1073-COMMERCIAL - Salmon: Troll - Area H - 2011 Johnstone Strait Chum - Opening

The most recent Fraser River in-season Chum Salmon run size estimate is
971,700, which is above the current escapement goal. As a result, the Area H
Troll ITE Chum Salmon fishery originally scheduled in Johnstone Strait will
resume. An additional four (4) fishing days will be provided to those Area H
Harvesters who still have unused fishing days remaining from their original
allocation.

Area 12

Troll will open from 00:01 hours Wednesday, November 2, 2011 until 23:59 hours
Saturday, November 5, 2011 in Subareas 12-1 to 12-5.

Area 13

Troll will open from 00:01 hours Wednesday, November 2, 2011 until 23:59 hours
Friday, November 4, 2011 in Subareas 13-6 and 13-7 (excluding Deepwater Bay).

Troll will open from 00:01 hours Wednesday, November 2, 2011 until 23:59 hours
Saturday, November 5, 2011 in Subareas 13-8 to 13-10, a portion of 13-11 lying
west of a line from Bodega Point on Quadra Island, to a boundary sign at 50
degrees 16.390 minutes north, by 125 degrees 22.620 minutes west, Subareas 13-
27 to 13-32, 13-35 and a portion of 13-40 lying west of a line running from a
Prominent Point approximately 1.5 miles east of Eden Point across to a boundary
sign on the Hardwicke Island shore opposite. The regular Amor de Cosmos Creek
boundary will be in effect (waters surrounding the mouth of Amor de Cosmos
Creek inside the radius of a circle 337 m in diameter intersecting the
shoreline at 50°21.867' N and 125°47.171' W [east of the creek mouth] and 50°
21.658' N and 125°41.630' W [west of the creek mouth]).

Note:

This will be the final Area H Troll ITE Johnstone Strait Chum fishery of the
2011 season. There may be terminal chum salmon opportunities in other areas and
they will be based on the abundance of chum salmon in each specific area. Chum
salmon abundance and fishing plans will be reviewed at the Chum Working Group
meeting each week. The next Chum Working Group conference call will be held at
10:00 hours on Thursday, November 3, 2011.
