have not been out much on the river this season.to crowded for me ,was thinking of taking my boat out this weekend.is there any news on how long the sockeye will be open. thought there was a meeting on friday maybe i missed something. thanks for any info.should of gone out in the salt earlier but was not sure where to fish. got good info where to launch, but was not going to ask where to fish. thanks again.

Hi norm.The word on the streets is the sockeye are going to stay open untill the 19th of Sept. So yeh get out there and enjoy...a buddy of mine reported good fishing today with most of the crowds gone now!:thumbup:

Caught two coho yesterday, both self released in 1 foot of water. Very clean and bright.
Both looked to be male with the classic hooked beak!

Please be very careful with your sockeye fishing now with coho showing up.
Maybe the drag up on the beach and identify the fish is not a good method(use a net if you have one that has soft mesh).

Today was particularly good - 3 rods in, 8 fish landed within an hour. All shore fishing - wish I had a boat lol.
