Has anyone ever encountered freeze dried bait? Because it was seem to me that it might work well and brining is a form of dehydration. I know it sure worked well on those song bird study skins we made in vertebrate taxonomy. Desiccated bait wouldn't need a freezer either, just vacuum packing.

Have fun, Jason

Years and years ago my Dad in MB was the distributor in the prairies for a company that made freeze dried bait for "freshie fishing....Prairie style". This was back in the early 80's I think. They were not "vacuum packed" and the directions said to "soak" them for a bit. They never did end up looking very good or work very well for that matter.
