Was lucky to be on the Chedder when a batch o freshies came through, we had 6 hookups with 3 landed(mostly wild), these fish were sea lice fresh and certainly fresh arrivals.
Probably be a good day to hit the chedder tomorrah :).
All were caught on red jigs and 10 til 12 was the hot bite.

Good luck out there.

Lots of fresh fish pushing into the river indeed. Alot of the movement has to do with the full moon that we just recently had. I didn't get a chance to get out this past weekend, but I was out a couple of times the week before, and managed to get a couple of fish to the bank each day. Most of the fish I have been contacting have been coming from less than ideal holding water. ::) I don't know for sure, but i presume these fish are getting pushed out of the ideal water by fishing pressure and setting up in areas that are over looked by most anglers ;)

Hi Nates,

Hope all is well with you.

Generally speaking I would agree, but your hypothesis also assumes, I think, that every anglers' presentation and technique would have to be the same too. Steelhead, if they are present, and given the right presentation and conditions, will pretty much strike at anything even in pressured holes. I have fished in runs that have been pounded for hours on end only to discover that next guy who "step in" hooks up. Let's not forget that line,"the fish are where you find them," Not sure who said it, but it's a great line.
