Not too much to report, except the claybanks are playing havoc with the water clarity from just below Allison. The water above is ok but no fish seen and very few rods on the river...The claybank below the cement slab and just above the old Ranger Run is very unstable, and several large slides came down this am, but did not quite make the river. Big slabs of clay and trees tumbled down the hill over a 1 hr. period.
The river level has not changed much, just the clarity........Have fun out there tomorrow.......Ortho 8)

Fished it wednesday before the change in weather on the lower river, hooked and lost a fish in the first 1/2 hour there. Nothing else the rest of the day. Met up with prof for a bit...always good to see ya Prof...

With the limited visibility the fish will spread out a lot more than usual. Sorry to hear you didn't get into another on the fly there ortho...

Good luck to all over the weekend...

Probably heading out tomorrow morning. Is this a bad idea? With all this rain, will the river be fishable? This'll be my first steelhead outing EVER, so should I wait until it clears up next week, or..? New to this so just wondering if it's worth going out. Don't care about the rain or the cold, just wether the river is cooperating.

Cheers! :beerchug:
