I use Gamakatsu number 1 and 2, fishing the Vedder; I buy them in 25 packs. I was wondering if you could buy them, in larger amount, say a box of a thousand?
A long way to drive to save some $$$$ on hooks. I think you would need more than a thousand to make that worth it there ED. Support your local shop and go through them :2cents:.
I've been using gammies for the longest time but just recently bought a small pack of eagle claw hooks and like them a lot. They also stay very sharp but compared to gammies, they have a much beefier design (hard to bend).
Have any of you tried owner hooks? They're far superior to Gammigatsu's in everyway. Owner SSW with Cutting Point heads are all I use now. The DNE cutting points are not comparable.
I use owner hooks for a long time now and would recommend to anyone.
I find owner hooks way stronger, sharpnes of the point I think is the same as gammies but it takes a bit to straighten one out that isfor sure
Do the owner hooks still have the "flat" point hook. They are sharp but a little wider than normal. I found the ones I tried didn't stick as good as the Gammi's.
Cheers, Rob
