Word has it that the Gold has some fairly fresh steelhead in the lower reaches...also the same for the Salmon.

Anyone have direct info to verify this 'info'...

***last 'info' I received related to the lighthouse to the can at Campbell River...tried two days for springs and NOTHING...didn't even see a fish on finder...so not sure about the 'info'...mabye Tyee Marine got the wrong lighthouse!!!!

Which Tyee Marine? I'm going into the one in Courtenay tomorrow and I'll ask if they have any reports.

There were plenty of fish in the Salmon in the first 10 days of April but I was skunked the last two times in the middle and upper sections of the river. This was last weekend. I think the water's come up a bit since then so it might be ok this wknd.

Salmon was outstanding this year in January and February and the Gold has a late run in April/May that is worth fishing! Good news for Island streams!
