I'm starting to plan for a couple of trips this summer. I have been thinking of going to Gold River this summer to chase Summer Runs in the Gold and the Heber. I've fished this area a few times in the winter but have never tried it in the summer.

From what I have read, there are fish entering the system every month of the year, but most sources indicate that July is the best time to try to fish them. Any info would be appreciated.

best bet is to talk with Jason over at Pacific Angler he has spent a huge amount of time on the river.
