I am thinking about going to Harrison Hot Springs in late May. I am thinking about dragging my boat up there and launching in Harrison Lake. How far of a run is it to the Fraser? How is the Chinook fishing below the Harrison on the Fraser? I have only fished from the Agassiz/Rosedale bridge up, I don't know anything down river of that. Any help would be appreciated.

I am wondering how long it would be from the hot springs if I decide to keep my boat at their marina. I am running a jet and it is a little tough on the gas but if there isn't much of a difference then I would Kilby Park then I would rather keep it in the marina.

Right now I don't think you can launch your boat at Kilby Park ....... water level too low.

It's about 20 - 1/2 hour from Harrison Resort to the Fraser ........ depends if you go full out or take time to admire the nice stretch of water. Stay away from the shallows ...... watch for the diff in the water colour. I've never travelled it without stopping to fish so I'm estimating the time is would take to motor right on through.

Kilby (boat launch) is only a couple of mins away from the Fraser.

Hope this helps

water at the outfloe of the lake is very shallow, less than 2 feet as stated watch for water colour and also look at the terrain around you, a good indication on which side to take. I do believe spring retention is permitted only below the hwy bridge (Kilby)

When coming down the river itself, try to stay in the middle when you hit the narrow section as there is a few little shallow patches close to shore, if you have a depth sounder keep a close eye out, them things are very useful. KILBY boat launch is launchable now as the water has rose. Chinook Retention is only from the HWY #7 bridge down, and opens in september!

Let me justs say ..... I have been in others ........ looked at lots of others ........ and I have not seen a boat I'd trade mine for. Still the dream of my life come true ....... and that's what counts.

I agree with you there!! I have had others apart for repairs and I will not mention names but they don't match up in many ways. The prices of used North Rivers down here are going for more than what I paid for mine new a year ago.

My buddy and I did it together in our jet boats ..... what a gorgeous stretch of water .......... will definately be back through there many times in the future.
