If anyone finds a wallet or cards, keys, or an iphone anywhere around the nursery creek could you please send me a message. Thank you. Long story short, coming back from a nice little hole on the other side of the river, had my hip weighters on, started making the trip back, got pulled into the rapids, floated down about 150yards and finally crawled out. Lost almost everything. Oh ya, my salmon rod too, but its prob broken by now.... rough day... and still no fish :'(

Where is the nursery creek? Glad to hear you're ok, I went for a spill during Steelhead season but managed to get back up before it got too serious, even though I did dirft probably close to 50 yards. I just wonder sometimes how we can be so lucky to get out of things like that with not that much out of it except a good scare. :wallbash: Since then I have never crossed above trees or anything that could get me into trouble (like deeper water). We will be going tubing on Saturday and maybe Sunday too, I'll keep a look-out for yaz.

Cheers

Sorry to hear that. I am going fishing tomorrow I will have a look if you tell me exactly where the nursery creek is. However, I am just wondering how we are supposed to find your things if you lost them in the water?? They might have moved quite a bit from where you first got pulled. Anyway, good to know, so that wherever I am I'll keep looking tomorrow.

Your lucky thats all you lost - Walking across the river is NOT my favorite thing to do. And we do - do it the odd time. But I would prefer not to! It doesnt bother my husband as much, but he does weigh quite alot more than I do. I am sure those rapids would take me out alot easier and Im not dieing over no fish! Anyways Im glad to hear you are ok

I just came back from there. I looked around and asked others fishing there, but nothing. The water is very clear but it still is difficult to find your things at this time, but you never know. Anyway, I am happy you are back home without any other serious concern. Coming back I heard on the radio that a person is missed from the fraser.

Be happy and have a beer Dubz.

If I am there later in a season I will take a look too if I see anything, but where is it exact where you tried to cross? I am not clear, down the cement slab and just before hathery bridge are opposite directions. hatchery bridge is up the cement slab, not down. Were you crossing river where people are not allowed to fish now, that the only place I think you would think you may try to cross, but I don't think it is very safe

If that is the spot it, the safety of crossing there does not appear to be up for debate based on the OP....

Sorry, ya down stream from the cement slab, wasnt thinkin too well when i wrote this. I ended up on the side of the river where my car was parked, so after a nice break from an excellent workout i gathered up what ever remained and hobbled off down the road to hitchhike back home for a spare set of keys. Oh ya theres a 100 bill in the wallet, finders keepers
