You need a non tidal license if your above the bridge. and you dont need a salmon tag if your going to be releasing them, if you want to keep them then you need a tag

Even if he intends on targeting Non-tidal water fish (ie...springers, sockeye, etc).

Allegedly, according to some places, they claim that you need a non-tidal salmon stamp even if you intend on releasing them, because you are specifically targeting them.

I have heard like a couple different angles on this question.

The answer is clearly outlined in the regulations, which, by the way are attached to this website via the resources section....Yes you need a fishing licence for non-tidal, freshwater and no you don't need a tag if you release any salmon, steelhead you catch. You are also bound to the size & posesson limits as outlined in the regs.............Ortho 8)

The answer you gave just now is the same answer that I had given him on the phone as well, but he had received so erroneous info and wanted clarification. :)
