Well we are on holidays starting on Friday for 2 weeks. We are heading up to Sheridan Lake on Friday night for the Weekend returning on Monday or Tuesday. My kids have been there for 2 weeks with the inlaws and are eager to return home. So this will set up nicely for day trips to the Fraser.

I have 2 goals while I am off

1) to catch a dino, I have been talking about this for some time and finally tried on Sunday with no luck. I will be targeting the lower river in Maple Ridge.

2) camp out on the bar and convince a spring to bite my spin and glow. last year I returned to bar fishing and had one hook up but resulted in a long line release. So this year I would love to notch my licence with a big slab.

We will be traveling to the island for a wedding over the Augs long weekend and will bring the rods and see about some pinks from the beaches.

This year we really have nothing concrete planned but I think it can be a great 2 weeks.

Also try around the Mission Bridge, Jimmy.

Yeah, I'm not sure you're going to find much in the way of exposed bars right now that will provide a decent camping area. They're all still pretty much under water and up to the tree lines. Even if you did find a small patch, I suspect the mosquitos will have you for lunch.

If you do find some decent real estate to camp on, please report back.
