Hey guys,

Im going to spend the day at Cates Park tomorrow with family. Gonna take the boat out for crabs.

I did a search for 'indian arm' and came up with mixed reports about pinks, flounder, crabs and prawns.

If YOU were going out tomorrow onto the indian arm, what would you target?

Prawns? where?
Crab? Where?
Pinks? too early?
Flounder? where?

Thanks guys

any info is appreciated.

I think it is too early for Pinks up there, but not sure. Crabbing can be very good just across from Cates park in 60-80 feet of water. Probably a good idea to watch your traps. Salmon heads or chicken backs make the best bait for crabs. As for prawning you need to be about 250-350 feet, but be careful as there are somevery steep drop offs and your prawn traps can quickly slide into the abyss. Good luck

Thanks dude.

Caught 4 keeper crab today and will try for prawns tomorrow. Maybe should I leave a bit of slack on my line if I try for prawns?

Ill keep a close look.

Any spots to suggest for prawns?

Think I can get a few?
