Just looking back on the year, how did everyone do?
Did you try out any new rivers or lakes.
Catch any new species?
Did you catch the big one this year?
You get the idea.

Pretty good year for me Xray...I fished lots, got my first steelhead on the fly in november, a nice little summer run about 6/7 lbs...caught lots of coho, managed to get up the the T a few times, and started the year off well with steelhead on the local flows...all in all, I'm quite happy with my year...especially with the strong finish I'm going to have...fishing pretty much every day the last week or so and through the new year...!

How 'bout yours...?

Best year yet for me even though there was no steel in it but I still have afew more days to complete that  I had lots of success with coho and the pinks and finally got hooked on fly fishing in our interior lakes. I got out much more then I had expected so all in all it was

Well, for a long winded guy like me it will be tough to condense, so I will point form it|

Jan-April has mixed success on the local flows for steelhead and excellent results from Van Isle.
Some really good spring trout fishing spawned another toy for the garage (pontoon boat)
Took the summer off for motorcycling and charity work and did one productive, fun weekend drift of the Thompson
Early fall fisheries were excellent, and a couple of road trips produced some fine rainbows (missed the Dragon trip this year)
Coho fishing was nothing short of spectacular, both gear and flyfishing
Finished the year at the Stamp and got my butt kicked by my buddy but had a great time!
No fishing \til mid January for me.....waiting patiently for my first steelhead on the fly..............Ortho 8)

A had a really good year when I actually looked back on it.
Best steelhead fishing I've had yet with a beautiful 37" hatchery to top it off.

Fished some new waters this year as well.
Fawn Lake for nice rainbows.
Wigwam River in the East Kootenays for Cutties and BullTrout
Harrison for coho and cutthroat.

Caught my largest Bulltrout at 31" and caught two west slope cutthroat.
Caught two cutthroat on the Harrison. First ones locally.

Best coho season for me as well. Caught a few in the mid teens.

Tried fly fishing for pinks on the Fraser and just had a blast.

Was another good year in ,07 even though my time on the water's this fall was greatly diminished. However when I did make it out I made it count.

The cutty fishing this past winter/spring was the best I've experienced in a few years. Perhaps this is a good sign of things to come. :) As stated above, family obligations and a new house kept me off the water for much of last years steelhead and then this falls coho season. ::) Although things have a funny way of evening out. ::) This spring was filled with a lot of time spent in the interior in search of big fat bows and new waters, and the whole ball of wax that typically goes with those experiences. It's truly becoming my passion within my passion. Add in a little more time spent up there in the fall, ;D and a new house, and my year is done. Hopefully this winter, time will permit me to chase lots of Steelhead.

Finder ;)

Pretty good as usual BC is a great place to be.

Jan-Mar: better than average steelie fishing the highlite of the season was Kim catching her first ever a breathtakingly beautiful 15lb wilb doe.

Apr: Averagre cutty fishing at my usual sight fishing haunts

May-June: Average year on the interior lakes= a few 20+ fish days, some washington lake exploration and a poor trip to St Mary's to chuck flies at smallies (cool weather delayed the bite by a couple weeks)

July-Oct: Fabulous summer of swiftwater trout exploration fished 2 new systems that I am now obsessed with. Had some good days on the old reliables too. Several big road trips in there, all a blast. Pink fishing was good it was a great way to get Kim into flyfishing for salmon. Fished summer runs down on the OP. Also found time to land my first steelie on the fly, a 9lb buck in late July.

Nov-Dec: Started salmon fishing in mid Nov as trout season was long this year.Had an average salmon year, but found a new local system that I will utilize in the future heavily. Hopefully end the year off with some good Washington Fishin'.

I would call it an average year, which is very good since every year above ground should be epic. Best year in recent memory is 05 but that is another story.

It was a pretty good year for me. Some good Rainbow results in the Cariboo in May. Good fishing on the Kootney river in July. Great time working the fishing highway in August, not too many fish but a great time. Good results bar fishing the Fraser in Aug and Sept. Got my first center pin set up in Oct and although it was a pretty steep learning curve, I'm starting to get the hang of short floating with roe.I hope to start getting out for Steelhead in the next couple of weeks as soon as the smoke clears from this Christmas thing!

It was a great year, I found it a tough year on the northcoast for weather and water conditions, but still was able to come across the odd swimmer. Tried out spey fishing for the first time this year and put many hours in to the swing and have many more hours of learning ahead of me. Lets all hope 2008 brings some good numbers and big fish. :beerchug:

It was a little below average for me. The business end of things kept me away from the river most of the summer, I think I only was out maybe 12 or so times from July till Sept, and only one 6 plus sturg, This fall I think I was able to sneek out enough times to count with my fingers, there's steel season ahead though and it' looks like there may be some free time to be taken advantage of ;) just don't tell princess :beerchug:

Had a Tonne of fun this year.

Touched a lot of Sturgeon, one was big enough for a second place(Riverside Spring Derby) and another big enough for first place(Fall Derby). Kudos to Team Fireball :drunk:. Set new boat records with lots of fish in the 8+ class. Boated some nice Springs for the new smoker :yummy:. Found some Hos' here and there, Pinks O-plenty, but No Steel for me :(. Fished a few new flows. Got the kids into some fun Pike Minnows, and Stoked on fishing.

Happy New Year to all! :beerchug:
Here's to a safe and Fish-full 2008.
