Spent the last week up in Howe Sound fishing. Spent the first day fishing around Hutt and got nothing. Talking to others up there it appears that Hutt has slowed down some in recent weeks.

Hopped over to Grace Islands and fished in the Gambier Harbour area for the next four days. Hit about 15 fish with 4 keepers. Grace seems to be the spot for now.

Heard of a couple fish taken at Hole in the Wall.

For the most part I was using an army truck gypsy spoon or the flaming hans gypsy spoon....another fella was producing on a purple haze hoochie and flasher...i found a 130ft shelf right in front of the Gambier Harbour Pier that had all the fish on it...within 10ft of the bottom

How long of a ride is it from Vancouver to Gambier? If Back of Bowen is not producing is it feasable that Gambier might be better?

If you launch at Horseshoe Bay its about 20 min or 8 miles to Grace Islands/Gambier Harbour. It appears that Grace/Gambier is producing right now but that could change any time. Best bet at this time of year is to give it a few hrs then move. But as of Saturday when a buddy got 5 it was still going strong.
