time to hit the big water
I agree. It's an "awkward" time for Interior anglers right now - limited number of safe, accessible lakes to ice fish or......deal with the wind and the chop (maybe even rain or snow this weekend) on the bigger lakes. I'm thinking of trolling plugs and bucktails between Rattlesnale Island and Peachland Sunday.

I know Im counting the days until April 30th and the DEE lake chain opens. Do you ever try up on the connector for ice fishing? Usually I hop over to Echo lake, a half hour away. My kids are bugging me,but with this weather its to scary.lol Actually a guy fell in this time last year. CHEERS!

Got to the boat launch Sunday at 12:30 pm and there were too many whitecaps for my 14 footer so we went North to Fintry and same thing so we'll try again next weekend.

Hey BGM, was thinking of going out then too. Crappy wheather kept me away. Any of the locals here interested in a little fishout? Could hit the big lake, Woods, or any other.

I'll let you know if we are going. We will try for this Sunday again around 11:30 am at the Peachland boat launch but as you know it all depends on the wind - my little boat has limitations!
