Thought to keep everyone posted regarding to ice free lakes around Merritt. I have not gotten any reply yet. Not out of hibernation I guess. I have another e-mail for fish report in Merritt beside Powderkeg, it's Ponderosa Sport, e-mail ([email protected]).

I was at a local lake last weekend in the stave region, and it had about 3 or 4 inches of ice on it still. I think we have at least a few weeks yet, which is okay with me because my truck needs more work yet

I have received word today (Mar.28) from Ed Hendricks ( [email protected] ) of Ponderosa Sports, Merritt that all lakes still not ice free except Nicola Lake. Try Barnes Lake, it's ice free.
