I have thought a bit about it. If I were limited to three materials, not including thread and hooks, I would want white marabou, black dye and orange dye. But I'd want beads too. :-\
Okay...I guess I'll give a legit answer this time.
If you're looking to tie flies to guarantee you'll catch something to prevent you from starving, then I would have to say Marabou, Deer Hair, and Pheasant Tail. From these three materials (different colours not being a factor), you can pretty much tie up half-decent attempts at several staple flies known to catch fish in BC.
Intresting answers guys. ;D Proff and Stone, I'd want to hang out w/ you guys if we were forced into survival mode. ;D Yup for me it would come down to Marabou, Deer Hair, and Flashabou. As Stone mentioned, to keep from starving. :thumbup:
They sure do...sometimes they just can't afford a dozen different lines or weighted flies or don't have them with them....improvisation my friend....besides what was used before weighted flies and ultra fast sink lines! eace:
