Hi All,

I am thinking about taking a trip to the lower interior (Merritt area) later this sping. Can anyone tell me when to expect ice off?

If you are talking high level lakes i would say May, lower level lakes April

Keep an eye on the Tunkwa Lake Resort web site, there will be reports on ice off as spring progresses. Ice is lighter then normal up there this year.

I flew over top of the area yesterday and the pack on the lakes is looking pretty soft for this time of year. Don't be surprised to see ice off and access to the lakes by mid april.
