I have since learned how to fool them with flys although its not always as effective :? Got hooked on flyfishing in '99 when I was visiting my cousin in Skookumchuck.He took me out on the St.Mary's river where I learned to cast adult stoneflys for cutthroat .Since then I have been learning different methods of flyfishing. Found these fishing sites helpfull in learning from others experiences. Picked up a vice last year and have started to tie flys, have yet to catch fish on every pattern in my box, until then I will keep trying

I've been flyfishing and tying since 1999 and landed my first coho and steelhead on the fly on a December morning in 2000. I picked up a drift rod and levelwind reel in 2004 and I'm having fun learning to effectively float fish - despite getting occasionally "ribbed" by FF :lol: . However, my favorite method is flyfishing the interior lakes for Kamloops trout! I love to tie flies - it's my fishing away from the water. Unfortunately, I ran out of space in my fly boxes, and I have way too many boxes to carry around! I fish approximately 40+ days a year, and I have a very sweet wife who understands my addiction to the sport.
