I've got a brand new belly boat and I'm itching to go after some trout with the fly rod. Anyone know if Mike is fishable right now? If not, and if anyone is feeling generous, please throw me an e-mail at [email protected] with some suggestions for other spots in the general area. I am a catch and release fisher only, and I'm looking for quantity, not size. It's just been a while since I've felt a tight line and I'd like to experience it again sooner than later. Mike lake is closed until April 1 same as the allouette. They say because of winter. It is more like the government fired the contractor that was running the park and they have no one to run it. Phone your local MLA to complain as this is a provincial park and should be open for all residents and visitors to enjoy all year.
