are the fish in ok lake (island) as big as dragon lake ?? ! Is island a good chrony lake .. ? i have never fished it ! but want too this year ? anytips ?? i hear everyone fishes island is it very busy ?? when does it open.. .and are ther other lakes that are just as impressive ? C/R prefered ! :shock:

Dragon Lake is bogus! not that the fish are not FAT but the experience of fishing is at least half the fun. Dragon lake is akin to Deer lake (Burnaby) minus the carp and the BIG bows. Fishing in a 'city' is lame. there are lots of good lakes near Quesnel that I would much rather fish. as far as Merrit area lakes go I would say Dardanells(sp.) is far and away a better lake than OK. Fish may not be as big but you will get WAY more action with a catch average of over 16". Cheers.
