Well got there at first light brrrr
it was cold
tried a spot just up from the vedder crossing
nothing doing water too low for there
moved up past ON THE WAY
river was in great shape i was sure i was going to get into one

tried the run each time with a different presentation
but nothing
it was so cold that every 8 or so casts i had to break ice of my first three guides as my line was freezing to the guides

so i moved down river to Lickman area and tried there
nothing
one guy was spey fishing said he hooked but lost one around 8am
i spoke to a few guys and no one had seen or heard of a fish

i went for a hike up river from there and found some nice water
again nothing
so i made my way back to the car park at Lickman and i heard this guy say oh that guy over there just released one

So i headed down to the water again to fish the runs i tried earlier thinking the bite might start but nothing

water was very clear

This guy was watching me fish

Sounds like a pretty slow day there britguy. I think I will hold off comming down there untill it warms up a bit. Both temp and fishing.

the water is very clear and low...tough fishing.. but there are fish if you know where to loook in these conditions :cheers:

I was out for a few hours this afternoon , was able to play one for a couple of minutes before it didnt want a mouth full of feathers, seen a couple more but was pretty slow afternoon !!!

but yes verly clear and low !!!

hit the river about 9:00 today.....cold on the hands more than anything.....water was very cold.....i was sure there was a fish or two where i was but could not hit anything no matter what i threw at them.....some guy came in just below me and was using some very nice roe and beached a nice 7 lb hatch after about 30 minutes of fishing....good timing on his part....snow was heavy by 1:00 so we decided to call it a day and get out of there.....good decision as the freeway was a white out all through abby

Well KINGPINNER DADDY MAC and MYSELF hooked into 4 in the Eagle sitting on tree waiting for fish to jump run, and 2 in the deer running on water scaring the shnizien out of fisherman run....what a day...all of those flossers are scaring em into good water IMO

Hit the vedder today,what a beautiful day,suprised not to much of a crowd,guess everybody expected more snow over night,didn't happen.Water conditions GIN clear,temperature around 0 'C maybe a bit higher.Started walking down the river in the morrning, fishing every good looking piece of water,after about three hours hooked into a fish,by the way fished the upper river.Beautifuly chrome wild buck arond 14 lb my judgement,took a single jensen egg,no other action happend on my rod but I was more then happy with what I had.Witnessed a couple more fish being cought close to me,and was pritty much it,my first outing targeting steel in 2008 on the vedder and jackpot, if you concider that I had only fished the vedder three times for steel in general a real JACKPOT.Anyways hoping to go again as soon as possible, would like to post a pick but still in a process to figure out how, when I do I will post it,good luck to everyone else out there :thumbup:.

well boys here are the 2 fish we got on Sunday

both fish took the same colour wool clipped VERY small.

we were fishing gear that day. We will be going fly only from Mid-Feb on :thumbup: Isnt it strange to see him without the cowboy hat?? thats the first pic without it :happy: and i know he wins biggest fish but i got mine first and i also made him clip his wool smaller and he got his 2 casts later :thumbup: :thumbup:

Hey, is the land owner still bugging you about being out there? This spring he came up and told us it was all private land and that he owned out to the trees on the far side and told us we had to leave..While total b.s. we didn't want to get in a pissing contest so walked back out..
