I hiked for 30min past where everybody bottom bounces to a good spot for bar fishing. Caught a 2lb sucker fish, but can someone tell me how to prevent my leader from eventually twisting/spinning up into a ball? I had a large spin-n-glo, then the dull side of a corkie, then an albright knot onto the hook. The hook had a roe bag. The tip of my spreader bar had a swivel, but it obviously wasn't enough. The result was my hook spinning with the spin-n-glo and the whole leader eventually balling up even against the current because it had twisted too many times in the same direction. Any advice? I'm headed out again tomorrow; maybe I'll try float fishing some roe bags on the Vedder on the way back.

Much appreciated!

My leader was only 15lb Maxima monofilament...hey who said a fisherman can't be dumb for a day?!

That makes sense when it comes to physics. I'll just use a stronger mainline, and then 40lb test leader. I can't resit...I'll be at the same spot tomorrow after I visit my fav tackle shop.

Ciao!
