My name is Fraser, I’m 25 and I live in Vancouver. I moved to Canada two years ago from Scotland, where I fished for wee brown trout. I work as an environmental biologist. My favourite type of fishing is beach fly fishing, although I am pretty new to it. I love BC even though I’m pretty new here- there are not too many places that offer the fishing opportunities we have here.

Oh, and the name- Alba is the gaelic word for Scotland, and i love fly fishing!

I'm heading to your homeland in August for a short three days (making a trip up from Alfriston, East Sussex.). Can you provide any insight to fishing in or around Inverness?

Hey Alba, Welcome to the site! There is a wealth of information on this site from a lot of good people. I will have to put a bottle of Oban on the boat for the next fishing trip.

welcome to the site. there are some great spots for beach fly fishing...i know a couple if you want to head out at some point (when the fish are around of course)...

wishiniwasfishin, where are you located? I an in Van, but i travel a lot, especially on the island. I'm always up for some beach fishing!
