are ther any of you out ther that fish this lake for the kokanee ? and if so what are your results ? i would like too chronimid fish it this weekend coming up... just not sure if its open or what when or wher ? and i live here in hope :;lolololol

I was talking to the guys at Reaction Fly and Tackle, Whatcom Exit in Abbotsford) and they said that people were doing well for Kokanee in this lake. I was thinking about trying it myself but I'm taking a newbie out this weekend float tubing and would rather go to a lake area and type of fishing that I know better. That being trout.

Apparently any fly with some flash (minnows, leeches with flashabou, etc.) have been productive for the kokanee and even some fisty cutthroats. Make sure you check the regulations before retaining though.

was reading in the local mission paper that they are doing good with a black red-ribbed chroni down deep for the kokes

Pink procured sandwich shrimp has always produced for me.

i was up there last Wed., with a buddy. Nothing other than a bullhead for me. the fish finder said they were within the top 15' of water, and we did see some rise, but very tight lipped. Other guys were out in belly boats, and they didnt get anything either. * people fishing the lake all day, and didnt see any fish on.
