Howdy folks,
I've been kayaking and kayak fishing for trout in freshwater for a while, and I spent some time in the vicinity of Nootka Sound in August, with some success jigging for chinook. I'm going to try and take some time off to fish the first two weeks in October, a road trip/camping with both my kayak and fly rods.
Could anyone point me in the general direction of some beaches/inlets that could hold coho/chum during that time frame? I'd like to try trolling a few coho patterns behind the kayak, and if that doesn't work, trolling some spoons/spinners. My wife will be kayaking with me, and I'd love to her into some salmon.
Thanks!
