Are there any fishermen here that have fished for Kokanee at Kawaka this time of year? If so, do they tend to be closer to the surface or the bottom? I'm a hardware guy--would the usual willow leaf/wedding band setup work for kokanee as it does for Trout? Anything else that you've found effective?

I've caught a few last summer in Alouette. I found them a bit deeper than I had originally thought.

Any advice would be much appreciated. I'm from Richmond and although I'd love to get out there often and experiment...with the distance involved, it just ain't going to happen :-\

Feel free to PM if you'd like.

Thanks in advance for any info

troll a sinking line and a red flashy fly with krill scent and you'll slay them (try different speeds) you'll see the fish rising (if they are on the surface obviously if there is no surface movement fish deeper with a sliding weight system and bait)
